• Hawaiian History - info on a variety of topics, including palaces, this link takes you to a page on rulers.
• Hawaii History of the Big Island - C and H Properties - actually, the title is a bit misleading - it's actually a good overview of Hawai'ian history.
• Hawaii - History - Yahoo! Travel -  glosses over earlier history.  This is mostly here because it is a more extensive overview than many pages seem to give.
• History of Hawaii - Ancient Times through Current Day - excellent, broken down by time-period.  Includes a discussion of the subjective nature of history.
• Honolulu Star-Bulletin Special - a retrospective series on the last 2000 years of Hawaiian history, for the millennium.
• Kamehameha Schools: History - several articles on a variety of topics, from King Kamehameha I to the Hawai'ian flag.
• Lonely Planet World Guide | Destination Hawaii | History - short, but decent.
